Sola assistant, Amaka, look me surprise, then smile. "Madam Ada, wetin carry you come today?"

I just fling my big curly hair, remove my sunshade, act mysterious. "Wetin, I no welcome?"

"Ah, you dey welcome well well! Make I tell oga say you dey."

She wan use phone, I press her hand down. "No need. I go enter myself."

Na so I waka go Sola office.

Before I reach, I hear one young woman voice for inside: "Oga Sola, you no suppose skip lunch. E no good for your body."

Then Sola voice, e dey hoarse small: "I no hungry."

"I cook chicken pepper soup with scent leaf and enough pepper, plus white rice for you, oga Sola. Abeg, just taste am."

I peep through door small, see one girl for white dress dey lean on Sola table, dey push one pink food flask give am. Sola just rub him forehead, look the flask like e no send.

The girl dey pose, like Lagos babe wey sure say her package fit confuse any man. The air for the office come get as e be—pepper soup aroma just dey float for air, dey mix with AC cold.

As I just near Sola, the bullet comments start dey scatter everywhere.

[Ahhh, chicken pepper soup and white rice! No be this scene the male and female lead go end up for kitchen dey do food, dey do romance?]

[After e chop this one, the male lead go finally soft for the main babe, abi?]

[This cliché no dey tire una?]

[The height difference between dem—I wan fast forward reach where the male lead go show main babe pepper.]

[I fit pay for early access!]

[But I dey pity the supporting character small sha.]

[Pity for wetin? Abeg, pursue the wicked supporting character commot!]

As I dey read all these, my belle dey vex. Me, fine babe, dem don already put me for villain role, now dem still wan chase me?

I push door enter. The sound of my red high heel just echo for the place as the two of dem look up.

The tap for my shoe na im make everywhere silent. Even the AC hum pause for small second. Sola eye wey dey calm before, flash one kind, but e just talk cool: "Wetin carry you come?"

I just twist my red lips, look the woman beside am. "I come check if my husband dey chop well."

The woman just smile, but you go see say e dey fear. I look am from head to toe—skin fair, no too fine, but e package herself, e dey fresh.

The girl dey form, but if you watch am well, you go see say her leg dey shake. Her wig fine sha. I ask, "Who be this one?"

Sola voice flat. "New secretary, Halima Musa."

"Small secretary~"

I draw the talk, put meaning for am.

Halima look Sola, e face dey shake. Sola just wave am. "You fit go."

The girl gather her flask, waka comot, her eyes just face ground. My heart fall. E no even introduce me as wife. I adjust my wig, press powder for my nose, try form composure before I face Sola again.

[Why the male and female lead chemistry no dey?]

[The main babe dey try o.]

[The male lead get wife, so e no wan mess up, but e still dey move.]

[See as supporting character just waka enter with 18cm heel—na queen be that.]

[Hahahahahaha.]

Sola hoarse voice just cut my thought. "You don chop?"

I shake head. Sola stand up, wear jacket, waka come my side. "Come, make I carry you go chop."

I try hold him hand, but Sola just talk with cold face, "We dey office. Behave yourself."

I look my empty hand, just force smile. Maybe the bullet comments dey right. For this Lagos, na only public shame person dey fear pass heartbreak.
