Chapter 5: New Decisions, Old Fights
Yemisi touch my forehead. "You dey alright? You just dey look me since."
Her touch gentle, small scent of shea butter dey her finger. I shake my head, look her for eye, then talk slow slow, "Go meet Seyi. From today, after night prep, I no go wait for you make we go house together again."
Yemisi frown, surprise catch am. She open mouth small, as if she wan talk but words no come out.
"Tobi, why you dey behave like small pikin? Na only you be my friend? Seyi sef dey nice—if you know am, you go like am."
She think say I dey vex. Her face soft small, she dey try pet me with her voice.
"I know say you see am as bad boy, but na because of im wahala background. Na why he go astray. I go help am change."
For my last life, na this her saviour mentality carry her go meet Seyi.
But later, she still tell me, "No dey put mouth for my matter. Seyi talk true—if we no enjoy now, na when? Make we wait till we old? This youth na for enjoyment. Life short, enjoy am."

But Yemisi no answer am, she just dey look me with suspicious eye. "Tobi, wetin dey do you today? You dey act somehow."
I no answer, I just waka fast go house. For my mind, I dey pray make all of us find peace.
Behind me, Yemisi stamp her foot. "So na so you wan dey? No wahala, no wait for me—make I see if you no go beg me later. See this efiko, always dey carry last for life."
I really wish her happiness this time.
