My girlfriend only replied to that one: "Then I’m relieved."

It wasn’t just the words—it was the relief, the way she used anonymity to treat this like another little secret to be hidden away. I could practically hear her voice, light and easy, just like when she lied to her mom about eating enough veggies. But this wasn’t about broccoli—this was something that made my pulse roar in my ears. I scrolled through the replies, reading hers again and again, trying to find some innocent explanation. There wasn’t one.
