Chapter 2: Goodbye Derek, Hello Hunger
Uncomfortable.
The bunny tail that had just appeared made me want to crawl out of my own skin.
But the worst part was the overwhelming, indescribable wave of desire rolling through me.
I wanted Derek to kiss me, to hold me.
Even... to go further.
But five minutes ago, he suddenly decided to break up.
At first, I was stunned.
Then I saw Rachel, standing off to the side, and it all clicked.
So, it was his ex-girlfriend—the one he’d never gotten over—coming back for round two.
"Alright, Lila, we’ve said everything that needs to be said. That’s it."
Derek was clearly over it, glancing back at Rachel every few seconds.
"I’m just not into the whole cute act, okay? Sorry."
"Being with you is like babysitting."
"You’re cute and pretty, but... I just don’t feel like I’m in a real relationship."
"I still prefer someone like Rachel—more mature, more womanly."
