Chapter 5: The Roommate with the Dangerous Hands
"Bro, help me deal with her. I have another appointment."
Caleb was wearing a hoodie and headphones.
His face was handsome, but his expression was icy cold.
He was even taller than Derek—long legs, broad shoulders.
And his body...
I remembered once visiting Derek’s off-campus apartment.
Caleb happened to come back from a run. He was shirtless, just wearing light gray sweatpants. His sneakers were kicked off by the door, and a half-empty Gatorade sat on the coffee table.

Caleb caught me with one hand.

I was already 5’3”.
"Forget it, just ignore me—I know you don’t like getting involved," Derek started to say.
But Caleb suddenly said, "Yeah."
"You agreed?"
Caleb nodded, still expressionless and cool.
Derek frowned again.
But Rachel was already fed up. "Derek, if you don’t leave, I will."
"Alright, thanks. Just don’t let her cry or make a scene or do anything stupid."
Derek hurriedly added, then left, glancing back at me.
But my eyes were glued to Caleb.
I didn’t even notice Derek at all.
