Chapter 5: The Morning After
I slept like a rock, sunlight pouring through the window and turning the dust motes gold. Henry was already awake, his arms around my waist, staring at me. His hair stuck up in all directions, and he grinned at me like a kid who’d gotten away with something.
He nuzzled into my neck. "Babe~"
I rubbed my sore waist, patting his back. "Honey, we’ve got to get up and greet your mom."
He jumped up and tried to help me dress, holding up my underwear and frowning. "Babe’s clothes are so small. Can you fit in these?"
I blushed, covering his mouth. "Yes, I can fit. Hush."
He smiled, nodding. He insisted on dressing me, his fingers fumbling with buttons, humming a little tune. I let him fuss over me, feeling oddly cherished by his clumsy care.
