After dinner, Shola waka go out again. As e comot, I open drawer, begin check those things. I no expect say na this kind thing e like—no cloth dey inside reach at all.

The things dey soft, color dey sharp. I select, select, pick one wey cover small. Even tail dey back.

I enter bathroom, look am well before I fit wear am. As I finish, I come dey fear, no sure how to come out.

My hand dey sweat, my body dey hot. Comments pop up again:

[Main guy don come back! Supporting babe don wear am since—why she never come out?]

[Abeg, supporting babe, you don already wear am—no dey shy!]

Tonight breeze dey blow. Bathroom door don spoil, breeze dey make am shake. I panic, grab coat, wan wear am, na so my leg slip. I fall, coat fly go one side.

Na wah o! My nyash touch ground, pain flash for my back. E must hear as I shout. That moment, bathroom door open. Shola rush enter, e face show say e dey worry. E carry me go sink.

"You injure?"

I shake head, shame just wan finish me.

As e dey look me up and down, I almost forget my mission tonight. Since I don wear am, I no fit back down. I just hold am for neck.

Now, e no even fit look my face. I see small red for him ear, e dey breathe heavy. E turn face. As e remove him coat, I just dey reason say maybe finally e go run things.

For my mind, I dey pray say make this time, village breeze favor me. My heart dey beat, my leg dey shake, but I ready. I tell myself: if dem go write my story, I fit still change am with small courage. Tonight, e be like say my own chapter wan start.
